Don't worry. It's hardly going to be 'The Mystery of Edwin Drood'.

Moral of the story directors get attached to far more projects than they could ever direct, see also Del Toro - At the Mountain of Madness, Drood, Wind in the Willows, Hellboy 3 (that one hurts), Blade 3, The Hobbit, Fantastic Voyage, The Witches, The Force Awakens...

I know Dan Simmons sucks as a person but I enjoyed this about his books. The Hyperion Cantos especially. Drood was also good.

I'm on my last audio book of his work (Edwin Drood) - it took me something like 20 years of washing dishes at night to get through them all. His writing is not without its issues, but it's an incredible body of work!

Make Dune Part Three a musical, you cowards.
Now that we know DIGGER isn't a musical, I feel like we can quickly go down a list of anticipated fall releases and first speculate and then dismiss rumors that they're a musical. For example. The new Lee Chang-dong picture? Could be a musical. But supposedly isn't. Boom, onward.

Oh wow I had completely missed this one — I recently re-read both The Terror and Drood, though I really disliked Abominable

Amigo personal de Dickens, supuso una fuerte influencia para que este último compusiera su inacabada "El misterio de Edwin Drood".

Six years later, Rupert Holmes had a hit musical as the playwright and composer of "The Mystery of Edwin Drood." More Broadway hits followed.

Latest classic that I read & recommend is Dickens' The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It was so good but he died before he finished writing it 😕

Si si :) J'avais des craintes vue la taille du pavé, certains retours qu'on m'en avait fait et aussi du fait que j'avais été déçu par Drood.
C'est pas Hyperion non plus mais c'est dans le top des romans de Simmons.

I think the play y'all were talking about might have been The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It's based on an unfinished serialized novel by Charles Dickens. During intermission, the audience votes for the murderer, the mysterious person in disguise, and the two people who get together.

Drood, IDK if you'll see this, but I got locked out of X with the biometric stuff. So, it looks like I'm gone for good from there. IDK if I'll be here from now on or not. '_'7

If the BBC have got any sense they will immediately make this (2012) series available again on its iplayer. I think this was the first time I registered quite how brilliant an actor Matthew Rhys (who played the brooding, tortured soul, John Jasper) really is. #Emmys #MatthewRhys #WelshWizard
