I tuned up my ~10YO Fuji roadbike up for the first time since I became a bike mechanic. It’s a lot of fun to ride such a light frame. I still don’t like dropbars. My summer project is to replace the dropbars with a flat, and upgrade the brakes to hydraulic.

Der Lenker wird auch ein Abenteuer. Einerseits habe ich einen breiten Crosslenker aber auch die Dropbars meines alten single Speed Bikes. Der Crosslenker wäre gekürzt cool und die Dropbars entwerder so wie sie sind oder umgedreht und abgesägt, das sind dann Hörner.

Schade, dass man in NL sich wohl an den Gewohnheiten in DE orientierte und nicht mehr wie in UK - die bei Reiserädern noch immer auf Dropbars setzten.

I've put front rack and made cheap-o wrap on the horns with camo tape.
Also slowly gathering parts to swap crankset and cassete to 1x9 drive
And i will be shmoovin
I am also considering changing to dropbars but that's yet another expensive though.

Not quite. A Fuji classic frameset from the early 00's with an njs Threadless nitto stem (from female kirin) and nitto dropbars. I use njs components where I can like a dura ace cog and a super toughness chain. It's a frankenbike, but it's fun to whip around.

The pump track at @riversportokc.bsky.social is about at the halfway point on my long rides. It makes for a nice way to break up the ride. It is interesting to try to pump on a gravel bike. You get a lot of looks to when you are the only one in spandex and dropbars.🤣

... anyways. Dropbars this bike would be ace anyways. But I can see the point of trying to keep the AXS Brifters even if not just as a weird temporary bodge to see whether he likes a flat bar.
