"You kids don't know Grand Funk? The wild shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner? The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The competent drumwork of Don Brewer? Oh, man!"
what's the stupidest/randomest Simpsons quote that lives in your head rent free? Mine is the urge to say "you said go to bread" every time I am about to head to bed.

Vale Rob Hirst.
Your underrated appearance on 2003's Micallef Tonight still gives me a laugh when Shaun says "U.S. Forces" is his favourite track (which doesn't have much drumwork in it 😂).

26. The Him

A beautiful, dramatic track with an ominous, sacral feeling to it. Great tribal drumwork by Steve too.

I've been going through DG's soundtrack and really powering up the drumwork. It's probably a lil excessive, but when I write these parts I'm imagining how the characters in the story would play them.

Izzy plays percussion, so I'm always thinking about how she would put her anxiety into performance.

isis • in the absence of truth

the album that made me obsessed with isis. the drumwork on this, in particular, is incredible.

Sticking with 1990 Glastonbury here is ultrarare Lament, sounding fantastic with Boris's drumwork

Robert introduced it with "this is one we haven't done, I dunno ever we've done this one" conveniently forgetting they played it two days earlier in Paris

last night was insane. some good soul was giving away his ticket for the Wolf Eyes gig on r/noisemusic reddit out of all places. I figured why not, heard so much good stuff about them. but it was the supporting act that absolutely OWNED the place with their mix of noise jazz, avant-doom and drumwork
