The true ds1 experience

DS1 had, the day immediately prior to its destruction, it had killed a planet of 2 billion people...

4 hrs before that, a few hundred-thousand at Scarif...

3 days before that, 11.3M at Jetta...

Cool to see someone take another crack at the quasi-open structure of DS1/2 but with verticality as the primary gating mechanism

I started a side project which is basically to 100% fix the Prepare to Die Edition of DS1, learning from what DSFix did, but going beyond it by being vulkan based (dxvk), fixing the 60fps physics issues, adding modern visual features, etc. But I need your support! www.youtube.com/watch?v=2T-d...

The DS1 bonewheels are doing it because it’s their job. The DS3 bonewheels are doing it for the love of the game

Probably. Sadly they massacred my poor sweet halberd from ds1 :(

It's a banger. I would go as far as saying I haven't felt this way since playing DS1 for the first time. Certified top notch Dreadlike. Get this right NOW

Hearing Queen’s Domain has KF2/DS1 style world design 👀 might have to grab it sooner than I intended

Morgott's main power is illusions, similar to Gwyndolin in DS1. The Margits that attack us at Stormveil and Altus are illusions. Morgott's divine tower is concealed by a ton of illusory walls.

Most of all, Morgott's dying body has scars where his horns were, and they are clearly very old.

Oh to experience ds1 for the first time. Congrats on beating ornstein and smough!

Since DS1 felt like Kojima dealing with the trauma surrounding his exit from Konami and forming his own company and DS2 felt like him processing the extent of losing Metal Gear and giving himself permission to move on while embracing it, PHYSINT really feels like where that processing has taken him

Hey yknow what the DS1 had been used to annihilate an entire planet and billions of lives. That makes it an existential threat to all life, and a valid military target by any definition. If there were kids on the station...

Ds1 did a lot of things I miss that the rest of the series seemed to lack

granted the best part of irithyll is just the anor londo part. so like shout out to DS1

ds1's mystery is still a better mystery

i'm so DS1-brained rn i kind of just want to play her but it would be nice to feel a little bit festive with some zombie action

Le level design est absolument fou avec des secrets dans tous les sens.
Petit plus par rapport à DS1 : c'est un peu plus abordable et il y a aussi du fun dans le jeu.

i didnt really care for halloween this year but i'd love to do a death stranding costume for next year, ds1 higgs or sam would be fun :3

you can't forget the greatsword from dark souls 2/3. You could also use chaos blade from DS1 for this

but also probably halo sniper rifle

I wanna play a soulslike but I wanna play on Switch for portability
Been waiting for Duskbloods but maybe I should start with DS1

The game is fantastic, the way you can just find a secret within a secret and then go deeper and boom, you are in a place worse than hell. Welcome to the PAIN ZONE.

Feels just like that time I entered blighttown from behind in DS1.

as someone who used shields only in one of her first playthroughs of ds1... yeah they kinda suck as weapons. except the bonewheel shield, that one fucks.

FromSoftware has made better games since DS1, but nothing in that subgenre will ever feel as genuine and full of wonder and wait whATs per square meter. It also has also my favorite non-open-world game map period. Level design peaked there.

Bored so I ranked the Soulsborne games 🎮💚

(Plz don't hurt me for putting Bloodborne in B tier 💀)
