i'd played through DS1R before (poorly) and i wanted to do them all...so i did. i'm a real souls sicko now. i love this shit.
i need to return to Sekiro when my brain's in better shape so i can actually learn it, but other than that...other games for a minute. Castlevania tomorrow!

I really wish we got a DS2 and DS3 reboot using DS1R as a basis because I keep thinking about how good the secret ending is as setup for a sequel. I'm very firmly a Speaking Isaac Truther also
Started my replay of the Dead Space remake and my favorite suit from that game is still the Sanctified suit but the Survivor has this little detail where Isaac drew eyes on the visor. Always a really cool and kinda funny design choice to me. Big fan

guess who just had to spend 20 minutes learning how to edit DS1R saves because she just learned the hard way that entering Anor Londo without the any way of protecting yourself means that you will IMMEDIATELY get invaded by a hacker who'll instantly kill every NPC on the map

ok, redid the textures for this dude now for DS1R for my dumb mod project
now I just need to figure out how to export them to DDS efficiently and get the animations functional how I want them. guh.

Even as a souls fan I feel like DS1 is so janky it's nigh unplayable (DS1R actively makes things worse with stuff like the new fog wall particle effect giving you even LESS time to react to Capra Demon's dogs) and DS2 is essentially superseded by Elden Ring which does the same things but better

that intro was incomprehensible
I miss ds1 and er style intros
also, the game looks better than ds1r, but still not "modern" per se
I was just too surprised by the leap after ds1
