I've never owned a DualDisc before as I always disliked double-sided discs, but I had to get this just to experience The Downward Spiral in surround sound 🖤

Oh dear, more LaserRot woes
The first DualDisc I’ve got with issues. Bubbles between the sides have spread & the discs are separating. Pic 2 shows the orange peel affect. CD side plays ok in most decks. DVD side is gone.

DVDplus is not to be confused with the earlier DualDisc format, of which it was a blatant copy just legally distinct enough to prevent a lawsuit

DualDisc was a neat idea, but man, what a pain in the ass in practice. They famously had to break Red Book CD standards and make an extra-thick disc that wouldn't play in every machine.

That's how I found out about this release! I weighed the two when purchasing and decided to go DualDisc as it seems to be the "definitive" remaster with DVD-Audio to boot. Plus I don't have the hardware to actually utilize SACD
