At least the youngest got into a 7 year BS / DVM program, so only one app to his undergrad institution in his sophomore year for Vet School. All his friends are in their senior year while he's already in Vet School, and they have multiple apps to wrangle, while he only had the one.

It was a 45uf & 5uf cap that measured ok with a dvm meter with a cap function. I still replaced it anyway (suspecting it only fails under load) and that was the case.

I have a 90V B+ battery from my 1950's Motorola portable 5-tube that still measured 90V with a DVM. So much internal resistance that it couldn't drive more than a 10-meg impedance, but it was still 90V! It has since gone open circuit. But the filament battery still has 2V!

When I worked as a veterinary tech, I saw this so much. Veterinarians being referred to as "nurse" or "tech" when they would have their title on a name plate. And currently, I think like 90% of DVMs in the USA are women, so it's not even like they aren't used to seeing women as DVM.
