I think the pets came with the anniversary patch? There’s a goat and a bunny and a Dwemmer mud crab too I think. Maybe a few more. They’d all huddle around the entrance to my house outside of Whiterun. Greet me when I came in to do alchemy.

I used to find them over by the telvanni towers and dwemmer ruins on the east/south east-ish side of the island, after at least level 15, until then the toughest thing you find over there are Clanfear.

And my dad just had a good question about the Dwemmer, what were they fighting that required them to have the fighting force they did, because what they had was no simple standing army, nor even "just enough" for their battle of Red Mountain stuff, like what else were they fighting? Daedra, Aedra?

Not quite, falmer were driven underground and became little Golum guys, dwemmer lived underground on purpose and retained their elf height. I'm not that concerned that elder scrolls didn't make races of different heights other than their use of the word dwarf which has a meaning outside of lotr

I honestly really don't like how elder scrolls handled Dwemmer lore cause they decided that this ancient dead race of "dwarves" was the same height as the average modern elf despite already having a race of short elves (falmer) and several non elf races that tend to be short
