We had a Dymo labelmaker when I was a kid. You turned the dial and squeezed the trigger to emboss each letter onto sticky tape. I swear to god this held such ongoing fascination for me that I feel sorry for kids who only have cell phones

I bought a Dymo 5XL label printer because my trusty Zebra LP 2844 doesn't play nice with my shipping software anymore and this thing SUCKS. It ONLY takes special Dymo labels and the will stop working if it thinks I loaded in non-Dymo labels (I haven't) and it keeps skipping labels, wasting them.
