Todays moth: American Luna Moth (Actias luna)

Spotted in USA and Canda! The caterpillars turn a red/orange colour before pupating, unfortunately the moth has no mouth

Driving south from São Paulo I wanted to take a little break and saw the Parque Estadual de Campinhos up ahead, an #eBirding hotspot with exactly one prior checklist. My favorite type of stop! One hour, + twenty new species for the location, including these Dusky-legged Guans. #birds #birding #ebird

They're around occasionally, just never a confirmed breeding record. Potentially because all of us are too uninformed to notice lol, I've been watching these build their nest for weeks and eBirding them as American Crows

I’ve been actively listing since 2016, eBirding since 2018 and have historical lists from Mexico logs going back to the 90’s. 1222 for life list. My cousin has actively listed since ‘90s but started list over in 2006 because he was no longer confident in his early ID’s. What’s your list story? 🪶
