For once I was a head of the deadline and got all my marking done & marks back to the students. The hack was a couple days before the deadline so surely many are stuck in limbo. All my marking is online now (esubmissions etc). I like canvas for marking this way - can annotate essays - but limbo eh.

That’s mad, Ted. I was on the team who developed that system, tho I was responsible for internal eSubmissions rather than ePQs. That was my team mate, a gentleman from Portugal.
A couple of months on, an update: the current system allows TDs to lodge PQs simply by sending the text to an designated email address.

After the recess they’ll have to use a gated online system to supply questions instead, making it more cumbersome to lodge multiple interrelated questions at once.

If you are asking about the mechanics of submitting a NIH grant, as far as I can tell (having put one in during the shutdown) these are accepted and go into Recent/Pending esubmissions as usual. I assume (ymmv) that these will be stuck there in "pending verification" until the gov opens up again.
