Really blustery outside & rain on the move! We've just been to #EBPRD #CrabCove Visitors Center - just a few geese in sight! Crab Cove integrates an #aquarium at #CrownMemorialStateBeach in #Alameda & is operated by #EastBayRegionalParkDistrict

TIL the Lake District is small (⅔ the size of the East Bay Parks's two counties)! We probably have around that mileage of trails as well, 1100mi in EBPRD property alone, 200mi more in Mt Diablo State Park, and plenty more on properties owned by smaller orgs.

We have OpenStreetMap, which feeds into a lot of outdoor oriented apps. And EBPRD has a staff member who is active at keeping things updated.

Taxpayers have been generous with EBPRD.. and overgenerous if the District can’t get this figured out.
