Besides Carboncure (CO2 in chrushed concrete as supplement), there is techniques like Paebbl (Supplementary Cementitious Materials from olivine in a fast reactor) and ecoLocked (biochar powder in concrete).

All together can bring concrete to net zero today.

For insetting or carbon credits.

Daarom moet biochar en Paebbl en het cement zelf in een premix-zitten, gecertificeerd en al.

De bouwvakker gaat die mix niet zelf in elkaar knutselen, natuurlijk.

If 1 m3 now adds 250 kilo CO2 to the atmosphere, and Paebbl stores 200 kg, ecoLocked stores 90 kg and carboncure stores 30 kg, it is a net storage of -70 kg per m3.

Then you need to certify this mix (which is pretty complicated and time-consuming), but concrete could be beneath net zero allready.

ecoLocked concrete can permanently sequester between 25 to 80 kg of biochar per cubic meter, which actively removes 90 kg to over 250 kg of CO₂ per cubic meter .
