I have an ecotank too. I’m trying to get away from having to ink twice, but idk, my pencils are messy, and cleaning them up wouldn’t be any faster than inking.
I'm using an Epson Ecotank printer and the ink is not waterproof. However it does seem to "cure" a bit. I tend to print the pages I need for the week in a single batch and the ones I get to at the end of the week feel like they play better with water than the ones at the start of the week.

This looks to be roughly the equivalent Epson, bit more expensive.

I assume that is HP.
Went to Epson years ago and never looked back. Ecotank is just ink refills, no cartridges. Genuine ones are reasonably priced, and plenty of knockoffs out there too.

bought an epson ecotank ET_2925 so that I can do small amount of prints of OC stuff and do homeprinted stickers but I'll return it bcs it doesn't print red properly and I can see the grains in comparison to my friend's ET-8500 that prints spotless T_T

Epson EcoTank ET-8500 epson.com/For-Work/Pri.... I have wide format, goes up to 13"x19" (vaguely A3+), but the one I linked does letter (approx. A4, as you know) & legal & photo sizes. (I think it speaks ISO 216 even though I obvs don't.) Sticker price shocking but almost always on sale somewhere.

I've got an epson ecotank I've been using since 2020. Its so great because the ink lasts forever and you don't have to buy ink cartridges that cost a fortune. Its actual liquid you pour into a resevoir. Since I got it, i only had to refil the black ink, and only once.
has anyone tried inventing a home printer that actually works

I'm using an Epson Ecotank printer and the ink is not waterproof. However it does seem to "cure" a bit. I tend to print the pages I need for the week in a single batch and the ones I get to at the end of the week feel like they play better with water than the ones at the start of the week.
