Native WireGuard support on EdgeOS 3.0 finally. Mostly usin’ x86 firewalls these days but this will be helpful for many friends.

I'm thinking of going back to OpenWRT by flashing my EdgeOS & Unifi devices. Here's a quick gist on using QEMU with macOS to emulate a OpenWRT VM.

you have to admit though having to spin up an entire windows virtual desktop in the cloud because edgeos doesn't support win32 apps instead of running microsoft edge, a win32 app, on your win32 machine is very funny

The support for IPv6 firewalling isn't great and ipset has been the same version that was released in 2016!
You can have a stateful firewall for Ipv6 with very limited options compared to IPv4
Allow me to elaborate!

Right, It's been a year yet, I've made QoS work on the IPV6 side of our network now ha ha.
It's been a bit messy having to deal with such an old version of tc and how EdgeOS handles all the QoS traffic.

Ah. There it is. Rayne scheeming.. it seems she will upgrade the EdgeRouter 4 firmware on these upcoming days off to try and deal with the QoS needs.. we shall see her luck these time around.
It's been DUE that I take the time to try the different types of QoS that both my edgerouter 4 and my managed switch. Starting by my Edgerouter 4, I've always read about bufferbloat and whatnot. While it's capable of speeds and all of that. It sucks with QoS.

Just published the new EdgeOS Extension for VSCode! This allows you to rapidly deploy, debug and iterate on a Raspberry Pi or (soon) the NVIDIA Jetson!

@jbcrawford For what it's worth, Ubiquiti also sells EdgeOS devices, which are their actual enterprise hardware and have proper CLIs, and also end up much cheaper than UniFi to boot. Though they are also pretty much ignored by Ubiquiti itself... the last software update was in beta for a year […]

The EdgeRouter 4 is actually working fine, but I'm aggravated that Ubiquiti has long since stopped development of EdgeOS. They forked Vyatta, but never updated it, so it's way behind VyOS. They don't even have IPv6 support in the web configuration.
