Green councillors have an amendment at full council tomorrow which would have the effect of abolishing #edincouncil TRO Sub-committee.

This committee has been a block to progress on #activetravel & sustainable transport for too long, making decisions contrary to policy. It must go.

Absolutely shocking #climate complacency from Labour at #edincouncil today. Following a summer of heatwaves & wildfires, council leader refusing to rule out new oil & gas drilling, finance convenor saying 'we've had wildfires in the past'.

Labour simply can't be trusted on the climate.

At @edinburghcouncil.bsky.social full council meeting today, Green Cllr @steveamburgess.bsky.social brought an amendment to exclude arms manufacturers & fossil fuel companies from school visits.

Disappointingly, only Green Cllrs supported it.
