"Your shadow actually did that part!" Static hissed and he could feel his antlers grow a tine at the very thought. The offending creature was nowhere to be seen, though Alastor could feel the presence hidden under the king's abandoned seat. "Then you let a simpleminded minion stitch up a sinner with angelic thread." "No- well... Kind of? It's not angelic steel- it won't hurt you!" "I should hope not!" "Since it's made of my grace, it's actually stopping your bleeding! Mostly." Alastor raised an eyebrow at that. Grace? *Mostly?* "What, exactly, did you do to me?" "I. Saved. You. Hell, if you hadn't been stuck to me like glue lately, you would've bled out weeks ago! Now that I think about it, that's gotta be why- your body is craving me!" A audible record scratched, shattered into pieces, and scattered to the four winds. "What." There was no possible way Lucifer of all obtuse idiots down in this pit could kn- "Yeah, my grace is keeping it from hurting. Humans get addicted to those uhm. What do they call 'em... Oh!
