𝐿𝑖𝑚𝑏𝑜: overpainting oil layers 9,8,7 (images new to old)

I still can't think of a suitable title, and I think the painting is needing something more so I'm not sure it's finished, we'll see.

I'm liking the very dark, muted tones and drawing-like lines.

What do you folks think?
Hope you like?

1/3 🧵In painting the more uncanny side of the cityscapes of Sheffield, I am consciously inspired by three artists:
• Leonardo's drawing 'A stand of trees”, circa 1500.
• Johannes Stradanus's watercolour's of Limbo created around 1587-88.
• Frederico Zuccari's illustrations created around 1587-88.
