it's there from moment one. trans ppl, especially trans women, do not hold any gendered power at any point along this path, in any of the four states i described. at Every Point in a trans person's life, even pre-eggcrack, gendered power keeps them in line with the threat of violence.

and what's worse is we don't even have a connection to our history of oppression and community until at the very least an eggcrack, if not a full coming out. we have no context for our pain, no guidance on what to do until we are forced to put ourselves in the direct line of violence.
