At 1243 PM HST, emergency management reported heavy rain and flooding over the north shore of Oahu, particularly near Waialua and Ehukai Beach Park. Radar indicated rain was falling at a rate of up to an inch per hour within some of the heavier showers moving in from the west. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain. SOURCE...Emergency management. IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, and other low-lying areas. Public road closures possible in some areas. Landslides are possible in steep terrain. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... 2. Ka'ena point from same west central area as Kuaokala trail. Pass Dillingham airport to end of road, walk to point along coast. Easy trail. Or take south end up to point from end of Hwy 93 north of Wai'anae.
