Funny enough @trevorcarlee.bsky.social was the lead editor/post producer of a show i worked on at Bunim-Murray. We were big Element3d and Rampant Design Tool fans at the time. Gave a lot of people chances to become an editor. Tremendously talented. So glad to see him blowing tf up everywhere.

I have the studio version. Didn't cost too much (especially compared to Adobe) and it's amazing. There are still things I need to learn how to do, things I took for granted in aftereffects. And I will miss Element3d but I've escaped the lock in.

Lots of stuff can be done in davinci using the Fusion tab. I'm going to get better at using its node based system. There is a learning curve. Most of what I used it for was compositing and some 3d plugins like Element3d, flares and nebulosity. Davinci can do the 3d and flares easy enough.
