Elhi spent the calamity in the throes of violent echo attacks as a prisoner of the 4th legion. Basically he was a raving madman that was seeing the final days and the calamity happening at the same time in first person, stuck in a prison half way across the world.

#wolqotd what was your WoL doing when the last calamity hit? Did they escape relatively unscathed, or did they lose everything? Were they even aware it happened at first?

Undoubtedly when he was forced to kill his tempered comrades whilst in the throes of an echo, and the aftermath. People he had spent the last 5 years with, who he had begun to treasure. Some of whom he considered little more than children.

in the stormblood patches, fordola sees a vision of the wol's past. what specifically does she see for your wol beyond the flashes that are canonically shown? what stands out to her as especially traumatic or painful?

YES! Azem had Golden eyes. All Azem shards have at least One gold eye. I even modded our good boy from the 1st to have a gold left eye. Elhi, my wold, has a gold right eye. He is, in fact, a bit overly conscious about it.
In my headcanon, Azem liked

#wolqotd does your azem has a physical characteristic that they share with your wol? is it something shared across all shards?

Elhi has no objections to using other tech or magiks. He would not hesitate, for example, in getting Garlean or Allegan tech prosthetics. So for him to be completely sidelined means he is paralyzed from the neck down. So..he'd probably bite off his own tongue and die, ngl.

Your wol gets injured in a way that prevents them from ever fighting or using magic for the rest of their lives. What now for the warrior of light? How do they feel about being permanently sidelined from the battlefield?

Elhi doesn't really see himself as having a physical home. Home is his people now. That said, if he was to pick a plot to call home it would probably, surprisingly, be his room in the crystarium. He adores the first, he loves his little room with its big window.

Does your WoL/OC have a city/town in Eorzea (and beyond) they call home? A house in Ul'Dah, a cabin in the woods outside Gridania, and so on.

That people from the Aldenard continent are superstitious backstabbers.
Originally he didn't believe it. After all, he heard it first from Garleans in his unit. And well they Also think some pretty out there things about Viera sooo.
Then he actually went there.

What stereotypes does your WoL/OC believe? Wrong or not, there are plenty to be heard.
Examples: All Ul'Dahian people will swindle you. Catgirls are always horny.

Hmm for the most of the game he's possibly:
Reverse Fool; reckless, fearless, risk taker, feeling trapped
Or
Reversed Hangman; Sacrifice, stuck at a standstill, a Lack of control.

Dredging up an old question from last year.
What Tarot Card best signifies your WoL/OC?
Artanis is The Magician: It represents manifestation, willpower, resourcefulness, and the power to turn ideas into reality

Elhi is not coping well with even the Thought of outliving his precious people
His rejection of losing his loved ones to time is so deep seated that his aether has poisoned those around him causing their bodies to stop aging sure, but also several other not so great side effects

If your wol outlived their partner either from natural age or from a fatal incident, how would they cope?
This one's especially for you, vieras with non-viera partners

Elhi was born and raised in Gelmorra. It's been 10 years since he was torn from it and he no longer considers himself Gelmorran, but he also doesn't identify as any other nationality. In fact he seems to go out of his way to Not identify as from any particular nation.

They were so aligned that they magnetized to each other. The triggered echo was woven with the dynamis, basically creating a ghost DID hybrid. The result is a Fray that has parts of the real Fray's memories And is a part of Elhi's mind. He exists as Both AND as a 3rd separate entity.

Yes. He models his way of teaching after his main Mentor Ljot who was equally patient and relentless. He is a bit relentless though.
He has been teaching the twins fundamentals since HW, he wants them to survive if they lose their main weapons.
He also mentored Lamat'i quite a bit too.

Not really Elhi was practically created For Raha. Haha. But I always loved Haurchefaunt x WoL ships because my elf buddy gets to be happy.

Yep! He had a pipe for his uh *particular* mixes of herbs back in Golmore.
Any he had on him when he was captured by Garleans were confiscated though.
So as a conscript he occasionally bummed smokes from his unit-

Does your WoL/OC smoke? And if so, what?
Packs of black market Garlean unfiltereds? Limsan cigars liberated from parts unknown (and fiercely denied)? Homemade clay pipes packed with home grown herbs?
Or maybe something a little stronger from Yanxia or Gridania?

No, Elhi isn't an intentionally flirty guy. Plus he's a bit obsessed with Raha. But he probably wouldn't Dissuade his shards from hitting on him either.

Tataru had him on suicide watch. The whole island thing was Literally an excuse to place him somewhere he could be safe and not bothered while still constantly monitored. (The mammets were his keepers actually)
And visited by people in small safe doses. (More than the canon characters)

I can't think of anything he wouldn't eat if starving. I know he'd Say that Garlean fermented, persevered, canned fish (Surströmming) because he hates it more than any food on the planet and beyond. Buuut
