I had to choose between the Kobo Elipsa 2e and the Sage. I like them both. Sage costs less and is waterproof, Elipsa is larger, and includes a stylus.
I need to get as close to replicating the experience of reading a physical script or book as I can, and I think the 2e is going to do that. 2/

2. Performance - A big rebuild of rendering means both stylus performance ✍️ on Kobo Libra Colour and Elipsa 2E, and fixed-layout content like manga and graphic novels will be faster.

Y'all are awesome. I have so many solid recommendations now! Currently looking at reMarkable, Onyxboox, Librem 11, the Galaxy Tab line, and the Kobo Elipsa 2E.
I'm so delightfully surprised to learn that e-ink is now as responsive as any old display, so I'm leaning heavily in that direction.

For those asking, this is a Kobo Elipsa 2E. I looked at a lot of options but needed certain features for what I was planning to use it for, and this was the only one that ticked all the boxes.

Anyway if anyone else out there is a Kobo Elipsa user I would love any tips/tricks you have! I still prefer reading on paper but for the electronic ms I’m going to give this a try…!

i’m actually leaning toward the elipsa 2e now because it is a) cheaper and b) i like the idea of a big boi e-reader
i guess the other option is the kobo elipsa 2e, which might make sense because i already have a kobo libra 2?
