Last night’s episode of Surviving Earth dealt with the Ordovician extinction and its aftermath. For this episode I was entrusted to create the concept design for Endoceras 9as you can see here), Telephina (the swimming trilobite) and Nerepisacanthus (the Silurian fish)

Sacabambaspis is an extinct genus of jawless fish that lived in shallow waters and likely relied on suction feeding to catch prey.

Endoceras is an extinct genus of cephalopods that made their home on the sea floor. Estimates put their length at over 18 feet!

Ancient squids like Endoceras lived in Manitoba during the Ordovician Period. Unlike most modern squids, they had external shells that could grow up to 3 metres long.
