every time someone says “I asked ChatGPT” I hear “I asked the hallucinating machine of confident lies” and idk it just doesn’t engender a sense of trust you know

Who the fuck am I supposed to sing along with if everyone has their own fucking personalized music. What communal experience does that engender, how do I feel closer to others when we have nothing to bond over

Pro tip 2- the rapture isn’t real, so these efforts to destroy the earth will be completely in vain, and will only serve to engender more well warranted hatred towards your ilk.

German word for “public figure you’re mostly neutral about and who doesn’t engender strong feelings in you, but who unhinges the shittiest people in society, suggesting some inherent merit”

It's indicative of a willingness to take cheap shortcuts and especially with food service that does not engender confidence in quality or even basic hygiene standards

it does not engender sympathy for them, it engenders fear, and that turns into anger, fast

and like the russian counterpart, you’re not supposed to actually believe it. it’s supposed to engender so much cynicism that you believe nothing at all.
It’s like when russia said covid was invented in Ukrainian biolabs
Kevin Hassett suggests Canadian authorities are covering up major fentanyl operations: "I can tell you that in the situation room I've seen photographs of fentanyl labs in Canada that the law enforcement folks were leaving alone. Canada's got a big drug problem."

the internet is the best place to learn the fact that even your most innocuous and inoffensive thoughts engender a deep personal hatred in someone

humanity contains multitudes and at least one of them despises you

The sheer ungodly amount of child abuse this would engender, hell, downright mandate...

Was thinking about ChatGPT images feel so worthless and something occurred to me. I am not a trained artist (not fishing here!), but I love making pictures of family—in part bc of the process, but also the reaction they engender.

If I pressed a button they’d look better but…they’d have zero value.

It’s a problem that people on this platform can ask good faith questions and engender good discussions and then get wrecked by somebody “interpreting” them in the worst light possible and springboarding in the next post into a fundraising request.
Man this is awful. This was a sincere question. I was happy with the discussion that came out of it.

But I wake up this morning to nonstop abuse, because one of Bluesky’s cult-like figures has (pretty unfairly) attacked me as not understanding people need food. This isn’t good or sustainable!

Another thing is trying to do the insurrection act in LA would eat up basically all of the federal government's security resource and also engender an American color revolution
I think for a lot of people in the WH think the insurrection act is the end of dissent or the beginning of the end, but it really would be the beginning of it
They'd really love to pull the trigger on the insurrection act but I don't think it works out the way they think it does

I sit in constant amazement at the positivity and goodwill I have (somehow) gathered on this platform.
I never thought the support I managed to engender on Twitter/X could ever be repeated.
I was wrong.
Thank you, you damn fine folk! 🙌

you need to stop giving into to doomer impulses.

these are fights we can win. We've won some of them BEFORE, with LESS public outcry (tho do not let that engender passivity!)

quite a few of these dogshit bills have failed before! we can change the future!
"My reps are all conservative and do what they want anyway so I can't call about KOSA"

This bill has died multiple times before and it's because people told their reps they don't like it, especially the red ones

@neildegrassetyson.com: "The people who want to colonize Mars so that we're a two-planet species, that's a nice thought, but it's not realistic... Go there as a vacation, to enjoy, but don't pretend that's an escape plan. It's simply not realistic given the cost that that would engender."
