One aspect that my art has been lacking is environments and backgrounds. I've made a couple studies, so here's one of my favorites.

A lined digital painting of a book with hand-written archaeologist's field notes lying open on the ground in dusty brown tones. There is a small patch of green plants in the upper right corner. A lined digital painting of a rusty, slightly oxidized trowel with a wooden handle and string loop. It is stuck into the soil at an angle in front of some plants and a tree, which has gnarled roots and a vine climbing up it. The piece is in dark green and medium brown tones.
