Yeah, I think different games have different goals when they distribute authority/antagonism/perspective/agency differently around the table. Understanding in what way and toward what end those dimensions are split is sometimes more useful than just having an equalness slider.

Perhaps the nail that needs hitting on the head is that the concept of "Gender Identity" validates trans people and somehow catalyses use of the word cisgender.
Then, use of the word cisgender encourages the notion of equalness between a cis and a trans experience which is why they hate using it.
