Why can't the tankies do especifismo like all the normal anarchists do?
Anarchism in Indonesia is so interesting because the tired debates of social/lifestylism, especifismo, nihilism, insurrectionary, individualist etc. don't matter. They take what they need and build a functional synthesis. Yeah they're insurrectos, but also especifistas. It works.

Hasn't happened in multiple living memories and required a civil war. Especifismo in all things. Any ideology could come out of opposing Trump, but they will be called "the democrats". They could be MLs or anarchist especifismos, but they'll be making stickers with donkeys on them

Ya got to understand that the sectarian baggage between different anarchist tendencies don't exist in Southeast Asia. We didn't have milieu histories of polemicization or sectarian fighting. When we look at nihilism and especifismo, it's with less baggage.

Olha, até que nos meios anarquistas não tem tanto isso, até porque o especifismo - que é uma corrente anarquista sul-americana, criada no Uruguai e que teve forte desenvolvimento teórico aqui no Brasil - é bem respeitado lá fora

The notion of a General Union of Anarchists is still one which is of use today, and carried into Especifismo and other later currents of activity. Always worth a look back as we are looking forward.
