Just seeing this: Elasticsearch has gotten support for query time joins (more specifically lookup joins: left outer joins, targeting a one-shard index with 2B docs max).

There should be a law of sorts that every query language is bound to converge on SQL semantics.

The massacres being conducted by RSF/Janjaweed at El Fasher in Sudan's Darfur are no surprise.

It could be expected this would happen if the city would fall.

Because RSF/Janjaweed had done it before, again and again.

Yet the world allowed El Fasher to fall.

Learn data analysis. If possible learn it using the language that your tool uses (sql, kql, spl, esql, etc.). Most available language is SQL. You can learn SQL and than easily translate your knowledge into other languages by googling or chatgpt.

Blogged: Implementing search feedback loops

This will hopefully be a multi part blog series on making your search incorporate signals. This post uses ESQL to calculate a recency boosting click score based on daily clicks using the rank_feature query.

I built a plugin for @intellijidea.com!

ES|QL is the new sparkly Elasticsearch query language, and this plugin helps writing and executing queries right in our favorite IDE.

Now that this is out… probably a good time to admit I never much liked QueryDSL (and I work at #Elastic… for now..)

#ESQL is very much welcome and is a multi-year effort in #Elasticsearch. This is NOT just a simple translation layer to QuerDSL.

ES⚡QL token POCs

Spent the evening at the Happylab in Vienna practicing 3D printing tokens with my ES|QL logo variant. Was testing manual color changes with the Prusa MK3s . Every POC had flaws, but that’s how you learn. Test early, learn fast. And have fun!

One SOC can triage alerts across 100 linked projects with Elastic Cloud Serverless CPS, keeping tenant data isolated while running about 2,100 detection rules from a single origin. #ElasticSecurity #CrossProjectSearch #ESQL
Centralized Alert Triage: One SOC, 100 Linked Projects
Elastic Cloud Serverless Cross-project search (CPS) lets one Elastic Security origin project run detection, triage, investigation, and response workflows across linked projects while keeping each tenant’s data isolated. In testing, a single origin handled about 2,100 prebuilt detection rules across 100 linked projects, with ES|QL guidance, operational limits, and clear boundaries on what CPS can and cannot do. #ElasticCloudServerless #ElasticSecurity #CrossProjectSearch #ES|QL

Agentic SOC Alert Triage: 60% To 92% AI Accuracy
Elastic improved AI verdict correctness in its SOC from 60% to 92% by enriching agent context with investigation guides, Workday user risk data, and 30 days of past case outcomes for the same detection rule. The post explains how the Agent Brainstorm workflow in Elastic Workflows and Agent Builder uses Pattern Finder, L1 Investigation, and Summarizer agents to generate faster, more trustworthy triage results. #Elastic #AgentBuilder #Workday #Kibana #ESQL

@kyle.bricolage.io any thoughts on creating tanstack/db+esql collections dynamically for on-demand syncing? Been reading the lifecycle PRD/implemenation and docs, but not 100% how to best set up a collection for on-demand syncing/subscription that's parameterized.
