Fun fact: The store owner, Angelo, used to be part of the Canadian Rocketry board! Hence the name, sunward!

6/ My scratch-design Fire Dance, flown on an @EstesRockets F15-0 to E16-8 combo.
I was nervous about staging, but the upper stage motor ignited and the model zoomed smoothly to apogee. Good parachute deployment.
Got in my 10K steps for the day looking for it.

My #Apollo11 Saturn V shortly before its first launch a few years ago. This thing surprised me by flying as straight as an arrow.
It was a hard build, so I haven't had the guts to fly it a second time, but I should. I can always build another.

I have always been fascinated with getting cameras onto a rocket. Here I show the results of getting two strapped on:

If you or your kids got a model rocket set for the holidays, here's a quick video on the best way to attach and fold your parachutes.
When it comes time to fly, you'll want to make sure those chutes deploy properly!

Screenshot of the Open Rocket model rocket CAD/simulation program. The proportions of the model are not the same as Disney "Ferry Rocket," but people should know what it is!
On an @EstesRockets F15-6 motor, it would reach 1,400 ' altitude.

7/ Next: An @EstesRockets "Argent" with an F40-7 motor.
Which would be a moderately interesting flight, but it had a clone of the Enerjet Pterodactyl, a parasite boost glider sold for one year (1972).
It flew great! The glider circled around the descending rocket. Landed nearby

Rocket launch building with the 5 girls during a break in the Bears game. We loved our @EstesRockets, but had issues with igniters. 50% failure rate. https://t.co/HMiQnOVBuf
