I still haven't listened to Ethersea 👀 that will have to be my next one! I listened to the Royale TTAZZ and they mentioned people asking them about a season 2 for that one a lot.... so crossing fingers!

Oh, The Quiet Year! I first learned about that after The Adventure Zone used it for the start of Ethersea. It was neat to see it in use.

Ethersea was good and fun but it was NOT the direction I hoped the story would go bc eughhhhhh at the time it was still too soon to covid shit for my liking but listening now I DO rlly like the world etc

fuckkkkkkk. well. saw the clip on the new ttazz where they talked abt it. guess it's not happening soon. but i'm glad they're not doing it out of obligation and waiting until they're ready. sigh. maybe i should give ethersea another re-listen.

steeplechase was also great and justin did an amazing job. my only real issue is that i don't love the ending. it's kind of incongruous with the setting and story up to that point. but it's not a dealbreaker and everything else is about par with ethersea. maybe better?

but ethersea was just perfect. the setting was rich and insanely well realised. the goofs were good and didn't overshadow the story (chain boomerang scene comes to mind). and oh boy those fucking characters, man! amber and devo are personal favourites and i really like zoox.

i'm just thinking of like. the everything. this skeet would be a list of all my favourite moments of the show but it's really hard to distill into any specific quotable bits. it's such a holistic narrative. listen to the ethersea theme and maybe you'll feel some emotions

maybe it was the period of my life i was in but ethersea and steeplechase were like the platonic ideal of a good post-balance season of taz. like they can't do balance again, they don't want to. phenomenal. i liked amnesty but it had its flaws. i thought grad was overhated but not great.

I haven't *dis*liked any of the long arcs, but I've had more fun with the last two (Ethersea & Steeplechase). And a lot of the mini-arcs and one-shots are also a hoot.

Griffin's music for TAZ is amazing. All of the season themes he's written are great and there are some great tunes in other spots too. Amnesty, Dust, Ethersea and Steeplechase themes are stand outs. The Graduation season itself isn't universally loved but the music is phenomenal

Picking up listening to The Adventure Zone once again from where I left off in 2022 with Ethersea. Man, I really didn't give Ethersea the chance that it deserved. I ended up extremely loving that season and I've already listened through that one and Dust season 2.
