connecticut results went as expected. state government from the governor on down stays solid dems, & the repugs lost a house seat they thought was safe (John Kissel, but i guess people were sick of having a state rep who is also the gen counsel for Eversource) so all of CT's house reps now are dems

Eversource was spending something like $100k per house to do heat pumps, electrical, and shell work in their Framingham networked geothermal pilot. Who knows how much of that is necessary, but contractors certainly won't say no to the work!

I've been talking to people high up at Eversource and MassHealth about this for months. They both insist only the other can fix it. Someone at ABCD thought they could, but wasn't actually able to. It shouldn't be this hard for someone to opt to pay Eversource MORE money.

Eversource tells PURA securitization benefits require statutory features; WACC matters for recovery
Eversource witnesses told PURA that an off‑balance‑sheet SPV without securitization features is unlikely to lower financing costs; they reiterated storm costs must be recoverable and that the utility seeks recovery for prudently incurred financing costs at an appropriate cost of capital.

Honored to earn the endorsement of the Keene Sentinel.

We passed the biggest bill to lower housing costs in a generation.

We took on the corporate middlemen jacking up drug prices for the first time in decades.

We're holding Eversource and Liberty accountable to lower your utility bills.

Somerville committee presses utilities on double poles as Eversource reports about 125 in city
Eversource told a Somerville City committee it found roughly 125 "double" utility poles in the city; staff and utilities urged a coordinated priority list and working group to speed removals. Councilors pressed for engine-system exports and follow-up on specific high-risk poles near schools and rail lines.

Live in CT?
Seen the ad where #fazio said Lamont approves of 16% Eversource rate hike?
A lie.
Lamont said Eversource can ask for whatever they think they want.
The rate increase if any will be much less.
#fazio lied
republicans ALWAYS lie
that's the only way they can get elected

Eversource announcing an 18% residential CT rate increase three days before an election is not the smartest move I’ve ever seen. Incumbents should have questions.

I know voters do. 👀🤬 @eversource.bsky.social @nedlamont.com

Seasonal heat pump rates saved residents about $53 million last winter (~$368 per home). A better rate this year will bring bigger savings to residential heat pump customers, at no cost to others. Visit www.mass.gov/dpu/seasonal-hp-rates for more info.

However, if someone has been enrolled in a utility discount because someone in the home has MassHealth, and they want out of it, because it makes them ineligible for a Mass Save 0% heat pump loan, Eversource and MassHealth both have no idea how to remove them and send them back and forth.

I'm so tired, y'all. I watched Eversource kill the big mature tree in front of my house over the course of two years. I reported it. I wrote letters. I went out and sat against the tree so they wouldn't cut it down.

So tired.

If anybody was at risk of taking the comments by the utility companies seriously, I would encourage you to remember the incident where Eversource stalled so long on moving a pole that they actually just painted the bike lane around it back in 2018.
