the “le epic bacon” era had its unfortunate excesses but we have built upon its bones

Didn’t expect to be asking this but: what’s the best way Texas’s newly empowered Dems can curb ICE excesses starting in January? We must swiftly reward RGV Hispanic voters.

Just a reminder that anyone claiming that prediction markets show anything except the excesses of compulsive gamblers don't know what they're talking about.

Ohio also. DeWine is a snake but he openly pushed back against the worst excesses of the legislature when they were determined to shoot themselves in the dick.
In GA and TX the outgoing Republican governors were basically the only thing holding back the party from being taken over by complete crazies who think electoral strategies are woke.

Interesting: the blame game fracture emerging on the right is "it was all the Iran war, blame neocons" vs "Trump's approval rating collapse started with chaotic tariffs and accelerated with ICE excesses, blame the nationalists."

i have not felt hopeful about America (and Americans) for quite awhile but I am today. It took truly shocking excesses by the current adminsitration but the People (of many different political stripes) did stand up and fight back.❤️

We need scorched earth... not reconciliation. Complete repudiation of MAGA principles and (lack) of values. Criminalization of the worst excesses like the drug trafficking boat murders, ICE murders, corruption and DOJ weaponization. Accountability needs to be a purifying flame.

Crazy thing about fascism is that the excesses of the system produce really weak candidates premised on the idea that no one would stand up to them.

Miao Ying, swept up in the sweet excesses of the demons of Slaanesh

mass murder, kidnapping, rape are 'excesses' now?
November 2, 2026 at 4:48 PM
It doesn’t help that “look what you made me do” is also the prevailing form that so much punditry about the Right takes, where the excesses of Trump/Republicans/conservative must invariably stem from some like excess of Democrats/liberals/the Left

I hope all the Yank AI Meme Warriors are out voting tomorrow to curb the powers of their president; his deranged excesses don't just effect gas prices in Michigan. We all suffer.
November 2, 2026 at 7:53 PM
Reactionary centrists trying DESPERATELY to somehow spin this result as 'evidence' against 'the excesses of wokery/left/the trans agenda'... just shut up!

Not every electoral result is a direct result of your own personal grievances!
November 4, 2026 at 3:14 PM
Mind you, the excesses of the Left are *checks notes* “Please stop saying slurs and yes, its ok for Black people to be POTUS or for cartoon characters to be queer”
November 3, 2026 at 1:32 PM
So the job is making the party synonymous with Trump and his excesses and with the pathetic toadies who enable him in the judiciary and legislature, even after he’s gone. We want people to spit on the ground when they hear the word republican.

He won't understand that this is a vote against his policies, against corruption, against his excesses, against his crimes, against him.

Huh, I thought she said she’d be a check on the excesses of BoTh SiDeS
November 3, 2026 at 12:13 AM
Not just Iran. Tariffs, corruption, ICE excesses have all been cited by ex-Trump voters. But yes it would be closer
November 3, 2026 at 9:54 AM
The tide’s turned on Israel via its own malignant excesses. Trump may be lying -why not?- about ending aid but he said it out loud. Unthinkable once. No more.

I know of people who might welcome your clothing excesses….can advise… doorstep collection..😬

The execution of the prequels was the worst excesses of no one to say "no" to Lucas but the thematic content is solidly and thoughtfully anti fascist lol

Everything about this feels like it should be illegal, but never will be in the united states, because this country is a complete shithole of capitalism's worst excesses and I fucking hate it.
California’s proposed billionaire tax was polling at 52% approval back in May.

Tech oligarchs have spent at least $148 million to fight it. Now it polls at 42%.
California Billionaire Pass Not Expected to Pass
On the eve of the 2026 midterms, polling showed that support for a ballot measure taxing the ultra-wealthy had shed significant support.

Justice isn’t vengeance. It’s correcting the excesses so they don’t happen again.

Starting Nov 3 we should all be in justice mode so our country doesn’t repeat the excesses of the past 2 years.

The excesses of neoliberalism we must stop.
There is something people don't understand

The reason you can barely afford to live isn't because you aren't paid enough

If you get paid more you will still be in the same condition

The problem is that a handful of billionaires own everything, and they will ALWAYS milk you dry
