Adding a written test or wargaming exercise to the promotion process for senior officers isn’t preposterous. But the details leave @markhertling.bsky.social with little confidence that it would produce better general and admirals. It might even do the opposite.

Credit where credit is due. The US Team seemed to have a strategy and executed it to perfection. It also helps they had heavy hitters like Jorgenson and Simmons to see it through.
