Right. The menace comes later, when Tarkin and his superiors have died of their own incompetence, because without oversight he goes for constant summary executions to use fear of death a substitute for leadership and lashes out in all direction ever more lethally.

His petulance is his monstrosity.

I'm into, uh, well murders and executions, mostly.

Those Nuremberg rallies ain’t what they used to be.

The Nuremberg trials and executions would/should be, though.

Or maybe they could televised their public executions by firing squads.

I want that too, but I'd prefer it in the form of a violent revolution with retributive mass executions of those who converted our government into a corrupt & incompetent criminal organization.

I'm petty like that. It's also the only way we can get the sweeping changes needed to prevent recurrence.

My Mother Was Murdered, and That's Why I Oppose #DeathPenalty. I believe that capital punishment harms the survivors by interfering with the natural recovery process. In other words, when we focus on revenge instead of healing, we never heal. #murder

I am appalled by the recent rush to executions, horrified by the possibility of a televised firing squad, and deeply disturbed by the two...

Is anyone else bothered by him wanting snipers on a triumphal arch, overlooking a national cemetery, where he could carry out mass executions, before bulldozing it to create a new golf course?
Last week, an incredulous judge asked a DOJ lawyer how Trump's "triumphal arch" could serve as both a tourist attraction and a highly armed fortress, laced with explosives and weaponry. The lawyer replied that he didn't know, but relied on the word of ... Pete Hegseth

We’re also talking about a region in Europe that frankly was just more used to extreme political violence against political rivals than the thirteen colonies. The Wars of Religion show a long tradition of mass political executions! While American political violence is much more explicitly racialized

I would say there is a genuine difference between someone like Robespierre, who due to circumstances became a hardline supporter of political executions but didn’t start out that way, and a figure like Trotsky, who was totally willing to engage in revolutionary murder from the get-go.

As we remember those who have gone before us, we must not lose track of the fact that 3 executions are scheduled THIS week in Alabama, Indiana, and Florida.

We *need* a serious cleaning house if we're ever going to move passed all of this. Not just at the ballot box.

And to be clear, I'm not looking for executions like at Nuremberg, or even jail time. More people in prisons won't save us.

Patriotic Americans would vote blue just because of these public executions to silence us!! But our Republican Party has unleashed their joy of cruelty , kidnapping parents as they dropped kids at school , kidnapping immigrants from the hospitals ,deporting grandmas to Africa , SMH ! No forgiveness

Marsha Blackburn 23 years in DC running for Gov of TN. She's done NOTHING for the TN except botched executions, voted against healthcare for children, supported a pedophile President, and allows ICE to kidnap and rape children.

Now her ads say she wants the death penalty for child rape, what?

Point blank. Murdered in broad daylight in front of people. He was murdered. This was not an execution. Executions are sanctioned events after being found guilty by a jury of your peers in court of law.

This was straight up murder.

After Tennessee's botched executions of Christa Pike and Tony Carruthers, Indiana is planning to use the same drug for an execution this week. It was just revealed they're acquiring the drugs from an unsafe pharmacy the state is trying to shut down.

Indiana must stop this execution.
Attorneys claim state is sourcing execution drugs from pharmacy facing possible shutdown, request pause to Jeffrey Weisheit's execution
Pharmaneek, Inc. was placed on indefinite probation, and the board will seek to shut it down at a hearing Nov. 9, just four days after the execution.

Criticize people defending executions or denying abuses. Be specific about what they said and why it's wrong. My objection is to a charged label that lets those criticisms spill over onto an entire political tradition, including people you've acknowledged don't share those views.
