One extraordinary thing about this extraordinary election is that the party won historic gains *in spite of* national leadership. Does anyone think Jeffries (or Schumer, for that matter) *led* the party to this victory? Jeffries was meeting with Jared Kushner three months ago!

I actually believe that El-Sayed has shown extraordinary grace in the face of extraordinary bad faith and extraordinary bigotry.

What he doesn't do is pretend that somebody acting in bad faith isn't doing so, or fail to call it out in specific and exacting yet still understandable terms.

An extraordinary stat -->
6/6: Democrats could flip governors or legislatures to gain unified control in AZ, MI, MN, NV, PA, VT, & WI.

Current Dem “trifecta” states cover 39% of the 50-state population. GOP trifectas cover 42%.

Dems could surpass 50% for the first time since the 1978 elections—and the GOP could drop to 24%

No matter how this lands this is extraordinary.

Next election we take FL, TN, KY, too
And here we are, with Democrat Scott Colom up 28 votes in Mississippi
This map from @votehub.com should terrify every Southern Republican. Even the Memphis suburbs in Mississippi shifted slightly away from Trump in 2024

Democrats had an extraordinary night in the state legislature, and other offices, breaking the GOP gerrymander.

And, somehow, GOP Governor Ayotte survived.
NH surprises me.

This ad is exquisite! 😭😭

Scott Colom is running such an extraordinary campaign. Mississippi get to the polls! Make him a Senator!
November 2, 2026 at 6:15 AM
It does not appear that they will flip the Georgia Senate.

That they couldn't make it despite the unbelievable night they had speaks to the extraordinary gerrymandering of the legislature.

Ross Douthat on national television, what an extraordinary gift to the U.S. left
Bari Weiss's resident hack Ross Douthat made a complete fool of himself on 60 Minutes, trying to claim the Saudi lobby has the same grip on Washington as AIPAC. Abdul El-Sayed immediately crushed him: 'AIPAC spent $33 million against me alone! Name another lobby doing that.' It has to make sense!🗳️🌊

It is sort of extraordinary that the tech industry seems to have achieved the levels of unpopularity which nuclear power had to actually cause explosions and banking had to cause a generational depression to get to.

An extraordinary story!
For at least the past 13 years, when I first shared online a Playbill signed by Eva Marie Saint from her appearance with Fred Gwynne in a 1972 production of The Lincoln Mask, I’ve been telling a story about the actress — who died earlier this month at 102 — which turns out to have been false.

Just an extraordinary result: Democrats have flipped the Senate seat in South Carolina.

Annie Andrews is going to D.C. instead of Darlene Graham, NBC has just called.

This is Democrats' second called flip of the night, after NC.
