At some point I took an "expanded OCEAN" that broke each category down into sub-sections, and I liked that it had "excitement-seeking" under Extraversion rather than Openness. I felt like it more accurately captured me as highly open-minded but not actually adventurous

I laugh when people are surprised I'm introverted. I had to learn how to fake extraversion because unfortunately most of my career interests require it if you want to be successful.
Anyway today I had to do 11 solid hours of in person group interaction. Same thing for the next two days.

Eh it's a cultural thing I think (esp in the US tho idk where you're pulling that excerpt from) where extraversion is valued above introversion, and I think it's completely silly.
