This is perhaps not the time for this particular political battle, but I can't help myself: In all the discourse around funding/not funding the TSA & sending ICE in to the airports, one thing that I have not yet seen expressed is that the TSA sucks big time and should also be abolished

Instead of paying ICE to harass passengers at airports, we could be using the money to hire more air traffic controllers to keep them safe.

ICE agents and National Guard troops are NOT trained to operate airport screening machines. None of this will help at all to end the ongoing chaos at America’s airports.
The solution is to resume paying the salaries of TSA agents so they don’t call in sick and don’t quit to find other jobs.

I don't know who needs to hear this: but (DHS) #ICE was already funded via the "Big Beautiful Bill" passed in Nov. 2025.
They gave ICE $85B funding it through Sept. 2029 which hasn't been depleted.
