You don't have to look far if you need a good relaxation spot in Ishgard. The public bathhouse in the Empyreum lets you soak all your woes away and take in some of that crisp Coerthan air.

After a long week of office work and adventuring, there's nothing better than lounging around in the Ishgardian bathhouse. It's especially refreshing early in the morning, with not many people attending. Faar and Aymeric get a good kick of energy for the rest of the day. Sometimes their friends tag along as well. Aymeric finds it amusing to see his friend so clearly distracted by his big Xaela companion and doesn't hesitate teasing him about it. Especially after being so relentlessly teased by Estinien about his infatuation for Faar for so long.

After getting married, Faar's absence during her company's travels hit Aymeric especially hard. Whenever she's not around, he likes to spend free time in her apartment and feel her scent still lingering in the room.

Aymeric can't help feeling a little selfish whenever Faar isn't around. He always wishes she was by his side at all times, even though his own responsibilities often keeps him away from her. When his wife is away on her adventures helping to protect the Star, he still goes to her apartment just to feel her presence in the surroundings. Everything in the little Empyreum apartment smells like Faar and whenever he feels particularly lonely and longing for his wife, he buries his face in her pillows or clothes to inhale her sweet scent. Except that makes him miss her even more.

When she's not busy working for her hero company, being Aymeric's lap cat is Faar's full-time job. And she takes it very VERY seriously.

Aymeric is often found in Faar's Empyreum apartment rather than his family manor. He enjoys how cozy it is and loves curling up with a book on the tiny sofa. Even Faar clinging onto his lap doesn't distract him anymore while enjoying his books.

Although Faar has seen Aymeric's body and scars many times at this point, there's one in particular she tries not to stare at too much. The one left by the desperate blade on that grim, rainy night in Ishgard.

Aymeric got used to his wife stealing his pajama top every morning. He'd rather chase her around the room to get it back, than risk seeing her in all her undressed glory and getting flustered. During their playful morning banter, Faar noticed a familiar scar on her husband's abdomen. A grim reminder of Ishgard's tumultuous history - one that happened only few years ago. She knew all of Aymeric's scars and wounds by now and this particular one always made her insides turn. Faar still remembered how she felt when they heard about Aymeric getting stabbed in a dark alley. With Haurchefant's death still fresh back then, the fear of losing another person she grew to care about so soon was unbearable. She sometimes couldn't help wondering what would happen if Aymeric didn't survive that attack... Playful morning turned emotional quickly, when Faar buried her face in her husband's chest. She needed to hear his heartbeat and reassure herself he's alive and well, even if damaged by countless scars and bruises. Aymeric was surprised at this sudden shift of mood in the room, but held his small wife close until she calmed down.

On his way to the office in the government sector, Aymeric bumps into a familiar face he knows only from the interviews and imagines he kept printed in his apartment. Faar was on her morning jog and he made the bold decision to stop her. Embarassed, Aymeric confessed to secretly watching the Arcadion matches and being a big fan of Faar's fighter persona. He tried to act cool about it, but failed. Faar found it cute how such a serious looking man couldn't stop gushing about her matches. She never did this with her fans for obvious reasons, but she agreed to take a pic with Aymeric if he'd exchange contacts with her. Aymeric couldn't believe his luck and took the picture with his beloved Arcadion fighter. He didn't exactly believe she'd contact him again with the info he gave her, but it didn't matter at the time. He was just excited to share this moment with her.

"It's been years and I still feel uneasy visiting the place of your final rest. That sense of unreasonable guilt is twisting my insides worse than the blade which pierced me in the dark alley." Aymeric kneeling down and laying the flowers in front of Haurchefant's grave, while Faar has her hand placed on her husband's shoulder. "I tried to step away in fear of claiming what was yours, but she mait it impossible... She always keeps reassuring me and who am I to reject her that happiness?" Faar hugging Aymeric and looking up at him lovingly, making sure he's not feeling sad and guilty. He's looking down at her gratefully. "It is selfish to admit while standing over your grave... but she's my happiness, as well. I can only promise you I will do everything in my power to preserve her smile." Haurchefant's spirit is watching over them from behind his gravestone, smiling as the sun shines through his translucent form. "I hope you forgive me, dear friend. Please, watch over us kindly. And may the Fury guide your light."

Although Faar has taken some etiquette classes for nobility before marrying into a reputable Ishgardian family, nothing could stop her from enjoying food the way she likes in her own home. Aymeric didn't mind it. In fact, he enjoyed watching his wife get a little messy with her desserts. Being around Faar on a more daily basis has made him feel more comfortable showing little physical gestures to each other. He didn't even think twice when he saw cream on his wife's face and reached out to pick it up on his thumb. Having a massive sweet tooth himself, Lord Commander enjoyed stealing a bite every now and then. Even if through unconventional methods. It would be a waste to wipe off such a good cream with a napkin, wouldn't it? It's better if he just licks it off himself. For Faar such sweet gesture is an invitation to shower her husband with even sweeter kisses in return. Don't worry, they made sure to put their snacks away just in time.

I also like to use it for some early angst for #faarmeric. Aymeric blames himself for what happened and for the longest time felt guilty for feeling even remotely jealous about Haurchefant's relationship with Faar. Kind of a survivor's guilt with romantic undertones.

#faarmeric was a lot of back-and-forth longing then backing away in fear of making a move. silent pining and guilt for it. a bit of a slow burn, with two insecure adults trying to deal with their personal demons.
then it became an incredibly sweet and warm love story.
