As much as it pains me to say it, because I loved the game at the time, Faceball 2000 was born to lose: It was an FPS on the Game Boy, a system that can't do an FPS, and it was a slow, janky mess. But listen to this music!

The only other boomer shooter might be Maze/Maze War and its clones, such as Midi Maze...which became Faceball 2000. And Maze is from 73, which predates BZ and its clones like Spectre. Yes, Bobby Prince and Sandy are boomers, but they're like 2 members out of the entire doom team

Agreed. Even more impressive than Faceball 2000 on the Game Boy - hardware that shouldn't even be able to run a FPS game, let alone one as fun as that one is.

Faceball 2000 only had its multiplayer officially documented like last year. If I remember right it’s bugged and not officially Implemented but does support 15 persons multiplayer.(there’s a patch that corrects it to 16 now)
