Getting late, winding down this #blueskyartshow with some postcards from the #edge

#photography #photooftheday #photochallenge #pointdume #sunset #sunsetporn #socal #pointdume #fadingout
If I had jeans to sell, this is the image I would sell them with. Shaded into a light amber silhouette by the sunset is the rock at #pointdume, with the darker and sharper silhouette of Some Guy who just happened to peering out to sea at just the right moment. A very cinematic closure. Also from Point Dume and the rock in the distance. Nearby two besties lean in for a selfie in front of a sunset with its colors so contrasted as to look like a nuclear explosion. This simple sunset becomes an almost comedic take on the apocalypse. The end of the movie. The helicopter flies off into the sunset/sequel somewhere across the ocean, while onlookers caught up in the moment capture what they can. The actual postcard of that living color postcard from the edge, presented here in desaturated & muted tones entirely for the purpose of #mood. Just being #pretentious

More for the #blueskyartshow, at the #edge of the earth.

A very warm-toned sunset over a low breaking wave rolling in. It took only some playing with the color to make it as clear as the memory, the hazy almost-painted look was entirely in-camera #serendipity On #PCH through Malibu, looking down at the coastline below. The morning haze mutes the rising sun on the left and swallows the horizon on the right. It's as if the coast is the actual edge of the real world with a few stray trees reaching out into space. Panoramic look at the Santa Monica coast arcing off towards Los Angeles. Shot at night from the end of the #SantaMonicaPier, the city lights are reflected in rippling streaks against the black of the ocean. Vibrant ripples of bright color on the left, fading out towards Los Angeles in the distance. The piers from an old seaside construct are all that remain of something that was. In faded color to highlight the hazy feel of the moment against the contrasting piers left jutting up from the sand, leading off to the sea but falling short.

yeah, probably depends really what code you need to run on them. Most explicit might be `type Visibility = "visible" | "fadingIn" | "fadingOut"` and then `function isVisible(state: Visibility): boolean` 🤷🏽‍♂️
