Well, Magma is my fav 1 word song name, but since a lot of their albums have long ass names, fans will abbreviate them.
Float Along Fill Your Lungs->FAFYL*
Ice,Death,Planets,Lungs,Mushrooms, and Lava->IDPLML
Paper Mache Dream Ballon->PMDB.
Lots more characters as well, worth the dive! Thanks!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAFYL!! >:3
Then by 2018 it was gone again and has been played just 3 times since, with every version being so hot (especially Palp’s combo with FAFYL and The River) that you gotta wonder why they don’t bust it out much more often.

So much fun. Hot as hell, haha. For some reason I remembered a Tetrachromacy in Europe 25 but that was a hallucination. Correct about 11/2! Hypertension was on that setlist too, if they had played it instead of Altered Beast and FAFYL that show would have been even more perfect

My favorite tap after Remlinger (it's hard to beat 30 mins of incredible jamming). That whole ABQ show is one of their most exploratory. That mirage city, magma, and fafyl!

It’s interesting that in 13 years, FAFYL has opened just 3 recorded shows and 2 of them are top 10 all-time. (PALP is arguably number one.) And the third, Hamburg 2024, is strongly underrated.

i always say ice, death, etc but i agree, there are many good starting points. for phish fans who got into phish for prog compositions that can lead to jams i feel like ice, death is a great starting point w/ laminated denim and changes. but i could just as easily say fafyl and poly or quarters.

Favorite King Gizzard jams from last tour is an impossible task at this early point, but a handful do spring to mind: Paso Robles Hypertension, Atlanta and Arkansas Work This Time, Albuquerque and Miami FAFYL, and Oklahoma City's The River, but I know I'm missing a bunch.

The 2024 Miami show closes strong with Dragon and Gila Monster! This is a wonderful show, and I am looking forward to listening to it again soon. Highlights for me were Hypertension, EDR, Hot Water, FAFYL, Billabong, Gilgamesh, Dragon and Hell. #kinggizzard #gizzsky #kglw

KGLW.net says this FAFYL has a Dragon jam, which King Gizz has done several times previously. Seems like the kind of metal jamming done in the 2022 FAFYLs and during Cavs' drum solos at that time are what kind of led to the Petro Dragonic album. It's all come full circle. #kglw #kinggizzard #gizzsky

King Gizzard's final show of the 2024 US tour at Factory Town in Miami is up for a first listen. It's the 2nd tour in 3 years ending in Miami after the epic 2022 shows at Space Park. I'm most looking forward to the Hypertension, Evil Death Roll, FAFYL, Gilgamesh > Extinction and Hell. #kglw #gizzsky

2-years ago today, King Gizzard played the Palace Foreshore in Melbourne with a super dope setlist. The FAFYL closer included a wild heavy metal jam.

Amazing show! Houston 2024 was one of the best of the tour I think, and could of been the best with like a FAFYL closer added on. Highlights for me: People-Vultures > Mr Beat, Ice V, Dirt > Mirage City, Magma and Dripping Tap. Whole show rips! Don't skip it! #kinggizzard #kglw #gizzsky

Float Along - Fill Your Lungs closer is why we travel for shows. My 4th version (Red Rocks 22, Remlinger 23, Wolverhampton 24) and might be the best...or at least on par with Wolverhampton earlier this year. Never let people tell you an outro for FAFYL doesn't matter. #kinggizzard #kglw #FAFYL

I've been working my way through the tour the last month or so. On LA at the moment but will be going back to the Ashville one later today. Nashville was excellent too. But I feel ya on FAFYL. One of my favs too and still chasing.
