I don't have the Original Azhag for 5th edition, but I have had this version of him in the shed for years!! Unfortunately it is in Failcast, which I have had the fun of putting together this evening. Do not recommend. I am looking forward to painting him though. #warhammer #Orcs #nerdlings #geeks

Yeaaah. I hate Failcast. The Herald of Slaanesh I also got is a simpler sculpt so it was less messy. Of all the Failcast minis I’ve had, Badrukk is the worst one. So many little bridges or whatever you call all the triangle and tube shapes from the resin injection. So much flash. Horrible.

"It brings out details you can't see on the metal" they'd cry, as their overpriced, imperfectly cast miniatures literally melted in front of their eyes.

Spent an entire week doing that healing thing then i went and messed it all up right at the end c,:
Taking today off, but i promise that hte Lexicon will be back on Thursday and the failcast will be back Saturday!

If you've never done Failcast before, it's worth doing at least one model to understand just how bad a product it is.

Are they metal or plastic/failcast? if the former, acetone will do the trick. Otherwise, simple green is a pretty magical paint stripper

these things are even more brittle than failcast, sadly.
All forms of printing and resin casting allows the creation of really complex and truly 3d models. It's just that the result is kind of fragile and annoying to paint sometimes.

I just try to avoid failcast. I made the uh, mildly OCD decision to get representation for *everyone that was active during the War of the Ring.* 👀 Thankfully I’m skipping particulars from Hobbit films (though do dip into Arnor/Angmar).

I'm not sure it's actually certain we'll even get above 33°C today, given that non-heat sinks generally give up by 4pm, and none of the heat sinks are really getting high enough to make up for it.
If we actually fail 33°C today then that will represent an absolutely catastrophic failcast.
