Only months after announcing a new direction for Eurobike, the European trade show's organisers have moved the trade expo back to late June. The 35th edition will now run from 30 June to 2 July 2027, and not in September as previously announced. The organiser Fairnamic also said the show will continue in an annual cycle, rather than the biennial format that was floated earlier. Was 2026 Eurobike’s last stand?The once-benchmark trade show spent years trying to cater to everyone, but this year attendance dropped off a cliff, and the industry questions if it is serving anyone.Escape CollectiveSuvi Loponen In the press release detailing the changes, Eurobike organiser Fairnamic said the reversed plans were a result of extensive discussions, and its managing director Philipp Ferger added that: "By scheduling the event for late June and holding it annually, we are creating a stable and predictable platform." Despite the organisers' confidence in the new dates, the change keeps the show fixed to a timing that many exhibitors had previously noted clashed with Tour de France and the broader retail calendar (Tour de France 2027's first stage takes place on 2 July). However, several industry players also pointed out that Eurobike's proposed new September dates conflicted with a new rival Towards Tomorrow show, organised by Germany's ZIV and Zukunft Fahrrad – two major players who withdrew their support from Eurobike in late 2025 over disagreements about its future direction. The return to June dates removes that calendar clash, but it remains to be seen if the show will be able to attract back its major exhibitors. Eurobike's 2026 edition saw exhibitor numbers fall from 1,500 to 800, while trade visitor numbers also halved to some 15,000, and major brands, including Bosch, Orbea, Mavic, Giant and Pinarello all skipped physical stands.

Eurobike organiser Fairnamic has announced new leadership from 1 January 2026, appointing Messe Frankfurt's Philipp Ferger as managing director alongside Messe Friedrichshafen's Stefan Mittag. Ferger and Mittag succeed long-time Eurobike chief Stefan Reisinger. Fairnamic said it also plans to add an "authorised representative" and a show director, with appointments for those positions to follow. The change comes as Eurobike continues to reshape the show after industry pushback over the trade show's current trajectory and format. Fairnamic has already shelved the standalone Mobifuture spin-off for 2026, set up a trade show advisory board, and launched a public call for industry contributions to shape the future of the show. The new management is said to be preparing adjustments for the 2026 show and, more substantially, from 2027, in consultation with brands and German trade bodies – of which two have pulled out of the 2026 show, which is scheduled to run in Frankfurt on 24-27 June 2026.

Eurobike, the long-running European cycling trade show, has invited brands, dealers and industry groups to propose topics and speakers for the 2026 conference and networking programme. Submissions for comments from stakeholders are open until 23 January 2026.
