A reference for two different creatures which resemble one another somewhat. The first creature, labeled as a Battato, has yellow skin with brown geometric markings, closed eyes and a wide grin bearing four fangs, a transparent stomach with glowing orange lightbulb-esque organs visible inside, and a tail approximately as large as the rest of its body. It has two "horns" on its head, bearing two rings and one round bulb on each, orange near the base and yellow at the tip. Its tail has three stalks with similar glowing bulbs, green, yellow, and orange respectively, that are connected by two thin lines between each. Below these stalks are large glowing ovals matching each bulb's color, and a small red dot near the tip of the tail. Its tail is also visibly glowing from the inside, with its underside being lighter yellow as a result. Nearby, a diagram shows that its normally closed eyes open when alert to display small pupils, and flash vibrantly when attacking something. A text description reads, "This Pal devotes every single free moment to doing absolutely nothing. It can store unfathomable levels of power by not moving for days at a time." The other creature is pea green, with darker green moss covering all of the formerly brown markings. It has chartreuse flowers sprouting from each "horn," green internals instead of orange, actual flower bulbs on its tail, and vines connecting each tail stalk. The yellow, orange, and red lights on its body are significantly dimmed as well, though anywhere green glows as brightly as ever. This Battato Botan has a description reading, "Battato who stay still long enough may find themselves consumed by moss and plants. These generate energy for it, so these Pals move even less than their counterparts."

A design for a fake Palworld Pal named Jerbomba. It is a Fire, and possibly also Terra, type that resembles a jerboa or kangaroo mouse. It is mostly bright red, with an orange gradient on the outside of its ears, and yellow markings on its face and belly, and large, green, shiny eyes. It has four dark gray whiskers ending in orange spark shapes; the top two have five points, and the bottom two have three. Its hips have yellow and orange dots on them. Its long feet have a gradient from orange to yellow, and shiny gray toes. Its haunches are a much darker shiny gray as well, matching its conical nose. Its long tail resembles a fuse, and is lit like one, smoke trailing behind it. A text description reads, "A Pal always on the move, hopping away from its own lit tail in a vain effort. When it does explode, it is sent flying with no control over its destination."

A design for a fake Pal, named Awrfum, which is a corrupted portmanteau of "arf" and "aurum," the Latin word for gold. It is a Normal and Terra type with mostly white fur, featuring orange and brown accents. It has long pointed ears, a large ruff of fur around its neck, a thick body with small paws, and a tail roughly the same length as its body. Protruding from its forehead, shoulder blades, and tail are spikes of gold, which match its ears. The markings on its limbs and rear are pointed at their edge, and the former have a gradient from brown to orange. Its tail tip is very fluffy, and brushes against the ground. It has a somewhat aloof expression. Its description reads, "It grows large gold spikes for protection, but they make it more valuable to poachers. Now when it sees humans, it runs away."

A design for a fake Pal named Sirendere. It resembles a mermaid, with features from angler and betta fish present. The dorsal fin on its head is long, translucent, and lavender, bearing a blue opaque edge and a round yellow luring bulb. It has two fins on its head and forearms respectively that start at gray and transition to lavender at the outer edge. The top of its head and its hands have a blue gradient. It has large round eyes with lavender "eyelash" fins, and magenta irises framing white pupils, spiked like an urchin. Its left "ear" fin has a round hook pierced through the bottom portion. The top portion of its body is largely pale blue otherwise. The tail portion, by contrast, features a shimmering blue gradient, bright near the hips and dark at the bifurcated tip. The dorsal fin features a similar gradient in each of its spiked sections. The caudal tail has a similar gradient, but with striations breaking up the pattern similarly to choppy waves. A text description reads, "It uses its fins to hide behind when it watches those it favors, giving it a curtain of plausible deniability."
