something that i find when editing a fancut of someone else's stuff is that i feel like if i don't add enough to it im just stealing or being lazy. so i tend to to over-cut and over-edit and then when i watch back i cringe at myself

I still prefer "The Longest Day". Until somebody does a SPR fancut that tones down some things. But obviously that is as always a question of personal tastes. Let's just say: less Mainstream appeal, more Band of Brothers.

There's a fancut out there that's around 2 hours and turns it into an okay movie instead of trash. I loved the book but I knew when it came out it would be a trilogy that it would be a disaster.

If you ever wanted to find out about the rest of it, I've been watching NaruCanon, which is a fancut of the anime that removes all filler (~60% of Shippuden is filler lol).
