#farecap
I cannot get over how bad it is that NYC no longer has really any pass product at all. The farecap window is random and untrackable. The fare multiple to hit it is very high. Now they're going to try to do citywide bus proof-of-payment without anybody having prepaid their fare with a pass? Disaster!

Lower fares, tap to pay, and possibly a daily farecap are all on the way. www.metrotransit.org/changes-will...

I've made it a few times before because it has AC and I already hit my weekly farecap.

I have many things to do. So I procrastinated by making a table for my local newsletter showing the savings brought about by the £2 bus fair cap, and assessing whether it is worth getting 2 singles or a return for various routes . It's a work in progress. Peer review encouraged.

A2. Also on the farecap note, it's extra interesting that they wouldn't focus in on the fact that implementing farecapping was effectively a fare decrease accoss the board? It represented a 20-30% drop in fares for passbuyers, and even more for frequent riders who didn't plan enough to buy passes.

Yeah the website is not ideal but if what you want to know is, how close am I to the farecap, and when does it reset, the website works pretty well
