The creepiest part of this sort of fauxstalgia is I think it’s more about selling a racist fantasy to the Joe Rogan listeners than it is about evoking warm memories from septuagenarians who were around for it.

Most "nostalgia" is for time/place combos one didn't experience so it's really fauxstalgia. But that hardly gets in anybody's way.
