22 सितंबर 2026 (भारत बाणी ब्यूरो)। भारतीय बैंकिंग क्षेत्र में कर्ज और जमा वृद्धि दोनों में तेजी दर्ज की गई है। भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक (RBI) के ताजा आंकड़ों के अनुसार, 31 अगस्त को समाप्त पखवाड़े में बैंक क्रेडिट वृद्धि 19.1 प्रतिशत रही, जबकि जमा वृद्धि बढ़कर 17.8 प्रतिशत पर पहुंच गई। विदेशी मुद्रा अनिवासी बैंक जमा यानी FCNR(B) के जरिए बड़ी मात्रा में धन जुटाए जाने से बैंकों की फंडिंग स्थिति मजबूत हुई है और कर्ज-जमा वृद्धि के बीच का अंतर भी काफी कम हुआ है।

I am Indian diasporum ... and used to take advantage of these FCNR deposits ... e.g. 1 year GBP deposit paid ~5% last year, EUR paid 2.75%.
But this year the bank changed rates so GBP deposit pays 4.15% (ChaseUK pays 4.5%) - doesn't make sense anymore. Barclays should read up about Earl of Ockham 🤷🏾
