Usually the FDA must respond to an IND within 30 calendar days of receiving a complete application. The IND goes into effect 30 days after the FDA receives the application, and the study can begin 30 days after that IF it has been deemed “safe-to-proceed.”

Just received word that the IND application for the bispecific monoclonal antibody targeting the Ebola virus (EBOV) glycoprotein I have been working on with my team for quite some time now has received a “safe-to-proceed” from the FDA.

This marks a huge milestone for us.

Today is a good day.

I’m still nervous about buying produce especially lettuce products after the explosive diarrhea summer we just had so I’m all in on El-Sayed’s ‘crap lettuce’ bill idea to restore the parts of the FDA & CDC gutted by Trump, RFK jr & DOGE.
El-Sayed: "The first 3 things we have to do is end this war -- we need a war powers resolution that brings war-making capacity back to Congress -- number 2, ending this tariff regime & war against Canada, but number 3, stopping the nuclear bomb that's about to go off in our healthcare system ... "

For those who may not be aware, an Investigational New Drug (IND) Application is a request from a clinical study sponsor to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for permission to give an investigational drug or biological product to humans.

Thank you, I feel constantly like people are 'forgetting' the gutting of FDA, NIH, NSF, CDC, USAID

Peptides are gaining attention, but access isn't the same as evidence. If you’re curious about one, ask:

Is it FDA-approved?

Do human trials show it works?

What are the risks?

Are safer alternatives available?

Who's overseeing your care?

Five questions worth asking before proceeding.

This bill won't go anywhere but it is designed to ick people out about medication abortion.

Meanwhile, the FDA could soon force people to get pills by traveling to a clinic, not via telehealth @autonomynews.co
FDA Lawyer Leaves Door Wide Open for Mifepristone Restrictions at Appeals Court Hearing
Louisiana made misleading claims about the safety of medication abortion, while the Justice Department sidestepped questions about whether the drug should remain available via telehealth.

Infuriating. RFKJr has spent years denouncing supposed conflicts of interest in FDA panels (conflicts which were usually imaginary and in any case always forbidden) and in 2025 fired a bunch of panelists for supposed C of I's--and then creates a new waiver system to legalize them,
SCOOP: Half of RFK Jr.'s appointees to the US Preventive Services Task Force were allowed to keep investments in pharmaceutical and other medical companies that make products affected by the task force's decisions, according to documents I reviewed.
